(CHATTAFRUGAL.COM) It’s unfortunate for some, but with every passing year the real Black Friday comes closer to being a relic. Why go out in the middle of the night to fight crowds of people for parking spaces, doorbusters, and a spot in line to checkout when you can stay home and shop on your computer, tablet, or phone? Heck, if the boss isn’t looking, you can even do it at work.
We bring this up because today is Monday, 11/21 and several stores have already put their Black Friday sales live online. While some only let “elite” shoppers in early… we’re looking at you Best Buy, others are happy to make a sale from anyone.
Here are couple early birds worth checking out:
Kohl’s launched it’s Black Friday sale online early this morning. While not going into too many item specifics, a few things stand out. You can still use promo code NOVSAVE15 to save 15%. You will get $15 in Kohl’s cash for every $50 spent before discounts. Big ticket items, like TV’s or the Nest 3, are theoretically cheaper than other sales because of the Kohl’s cash. For example, the Nest 3 Learning Thermostat will be on sale everywhere for $199.99. With Kohl’s cash you will get at least $45 back. Add something else to your cart to get you over the $200 threshold and you’ll get $50 in Kohl’s cash.
Over at Toys R Us, you needs to be a Rewards R Us member, but it’s free to join and results in a few coupon mailings a year. Over 100 doorbusters are now on sale, including the LEGO Dimension’s Fun Packs and 4 for 1 Disney Infinity figures. Just make sure to use promo code BLACKFRIDAY before checking out to get the discount.
One final note, if you’re not using cashback click through site eBates to start your online shopping trips, you are throwing money away. This site is also free to join and will give you a percentage back on your online purchase. eBates basically gives you a cut of their advertising fee with said store, holds that cut until you reach a minimum payout, like $10, and then sends you a check, transfers funds into your Paypal account, or lets you cash out with gift cards.
